Supper Tonight

I tried a new idea for supper tonight, courtesy of my friend. Its super easy and kid friendly. I have a very picky husband and son, so I was glad when they really liked this creation.

Pigs in a blanket 2.0

1 can of crescent rolls
3-4 all beef hot dogs (or whatever kind you prefer), sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
Mustard
Shredded colby jack or cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stretch out each crescent roll, using caution not to tear dough. In a muffin pan, place 1 crescent roll in greased muffin cup. Place 3-4 pieces of sliced hot dog, a teaspoon of mustard, and  desired amount of shredded cheese in crescent dough. Fold edges of crescent roll over to enclose hot dog, mustard, and cheese.  Place in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Our dinner from tonight

Meet Becky

I decided after reading several different blogs, I want to give this a whirl too! Every day is an adventure as I am a nurse by day, a mommy and wife by night (and well actually a mommy and wife all the time!)

So here's a bit about me....you will get more over time.

I am a Central Illinois-born-and-raised mama to one adventurous little three year old boy, and wife to an engineer. That's my #1 full time job....being a mommy and wife. I love having a little boy. Every day is a different adventure and challenge with my C man, but I wouldn't change it for the world! My #2 full time job is being a nurse. In the past 5 years I've been an OB/peds nurse, an urgent care nurse, an allergy office RN, an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) clinic nurse, and most recently I've become a public health nurse. Yep, you read that right. I work 5 full days a week as a nurse and manage to keep the house (somewhat) in order too.

This blog will be my way to unwind, share my stories, sharing parenting wisdom (and recieving it from others too!), and hopefully, get back into the things I love and miss....reading, writing, and even sewing and crafting!
