37 weeks....Full term!

Well, here we are at 37 weeks...FULL TERM! Baby J can come anytime he likes now. The carseat is installed in the car, the crib is ready, everything is ready, and waiting on him!

Here's this week in review:

Weight gain: 18 pounds.

Food aversions: None really anymore :)

Morning sickness: Still hanging around some.

Appetite : I'm hungry all the time!

Cravings: Strawberries again....and sweet, fruity candy too.

Clothes:  Still wearing tanks with my work shirt over them unbuttoned. Too close to the end to buy new stuff now!

Sleeping: I sleep 1.5-2 hours in a stretch. I'm up a couple times each night to go to the bathroom, then I get out of bed around 4:30-5:00am.

Bellybutton: It's mostly an outtie now.

Backaches: They are back with a vengeance :(

Heart Burn: That word should be banned from the English language! Still, everything I eat or drink makes me have heartburn! Sometimes even when I haven't ate I have heartburn.

Movements: He's running out of room to move very much, so his movements are strong and indeed felt by mommy. He gets the hiccups frequently too. This week he has really enjoyed sticking his foot against my rib cage.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!

Next appointment: This Thursday, 37w 2d.

Looking Forward To: Seeing my ankles again...They're lost in swelling currently. This past week has been full of high blood pressure, headaches, swelling, and backaches. Hoping my OB will do something to help when I see him on Thursday!

Our Preschool Graduate

   Since we live in a small rural town, this program is provided by state funding under the state and federal "Preschool For All" grant.  This program is called Project HELP. It stands for "Helping Educate Little People". It was a half day program that ran throughout the regular school year and was basically a Pre-K program.  For two years, our son has been in the same class, with the same teachers, sharing the same friends.  This past Thursday marked the end of that era for our son (and us!).  Thursday night, Carson graduated Project HELP.  Some parents cried, some cheered, I just sat there with a big smile on my face, realizing just how much our little boy has grown up in the past 2 years!

   The kids walked in in their little caps and gowns, complete with tassels! Then they sang some songs from throughout the year.  It concluded with presentation of "diplomas".

36 weeks!

We are so close to being "full term" now! I can't believe baby will be here in just three weeks. This week we got the crib up, pack and play up in our room, and got all his clothes ready. The hospital bags are also packed!


Weight gain: 17 pounds. I actually lost a pound at this doctor's visit.

Food aversions: None really anymore :)

Morning sickness: Still hanging around some.

Appetite : Pretty much normal now days.

Cravings: Salads, crab pasta salad

Clothes:  Scrubs are still fitting, although they are pretty snug. I've been wearing lots of maternity tank tops with my work shirt over them unbuttoned.

Sleeping: Same as last week, not much sleep happening here anymore. I seem to wake up for the day around 3-4am.

Bellybutton: It's still half an outtie.

Backaches: Occasionally but not too terrible.

Looking Forward To: June 4th :) That's the date we have officially set for my c-section!

Happy Mother's Day!

35 weeks!

As of two days ago, I am 35 weeks pregnant. The past few weeks have really flow by us. It's hard to believe  that in just 4 short weeks we will be a family a four!


Weight gain: 18 pounds

Food aversions: None really anymore :)

Morning sickness: Has returned again. It did this during my first pregnancy too, so I'm not too concerned.

Appetite : Pretty much normal now days.

Cravings: Starbursts, Salad with ranch dressing

Clothes: Some of my maternity clothes from last time are actually too big this time around! My scrubs are still snug, but still fit for now.

Sleeping: I'm up 2-3 times each night to use the bathroom and find it hard to get comfortable to sleep now, but it's ok, I nap on weekends!

Bellybutton: It's half in, half out, lol.

Backaches: Actually not bad unless I've been sitting on the floor.

Heart Burn: It's horrible. Tums are my best friend!

Movements: He's not moving as much the past week or so. I think he's running out of room!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!

Next appointment: Monday (35w 6d)

Looking Forward To: Putting up the crib this weekend!

Other baby news:   We had an ultrasound on Tuesday at exactly 35 weeks. Little man was already measuring 6lb 12oz at that time! He was estimated to be 37w2d at that time. What can I say? I grow 'em big!
